I hope you found the coupons in this Sunday's paper from Albertson's that will double any coupon up to $1.00! Any coupon valued at $1.01 or more does not qualify, but this is a fantastic opportunity to get some great deals. There are 4 of them, and they expire March 24, 2009. I plan to browse the grocery ad and match up the coupons with the sales to get the best deals.
Did you know? that Albertson's also accepts competitor's coupons? So even if you can't find a coupon in your coupon inserts for an item you want to buy, check for other coupons from places like Target or even Walgreens. For example, Eggo waffles are on sale at Albertson's 3/$5. An associate once told me that you do not have to buy the amount it says in order to get the sale price. Double check with your store when you go shopping. This means that they are $1.67 each. There are no coupons for Eggo waffles (I rarely see them) but Target has a coupon for $1 off when you buy 2 Eggo waffles. Then you can get Eggo waffles for $1.17 each. Not bad! Keep an eye out for these things, and when certain items go on sale, you can combine a manufacturer coupon with a competitor coupon on top of the sale to get even more of a deal!
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any q's. I will post my shopping trip tomorrow, after I am able to make it to the store.
